Going to Munich, we were stoked to check out this 500th anniversary Bavarian beer festival that was going on the weekend we arrived. Unfortunately, this happened.
As expected, the city shut down while police and military patrolled the city, and the festival was canceled. The next day, with everything settled, everybody went about their normal routines, and we were off to explore the city.
I wish I had more time to spend in Munich, but a day and a half later it was time to head out again.
